Houston’s

Houston’s has had my heart since I was a six year old girl going shopping to Bloomingdale’s at the Shops at Riverside with my mom. At 6 years old, my best friend and I would split a steak and mashed potatoes and drink Shirley Temples like they were going out of style.

Houston’s is a chain of steakhouses across the U.S, the same company as Hillstone. These are some of the favorites at Houston’s:

Thai Steak and Noodle Salad: Salad is a bit deceiving in this meal, as there aren’t many greens in it. This salad is one of my favorites of all time. Thai noodles, tomato, mint, mango, avocado, carrots, crushed peanuts, mint leaves, and arugula all in a spicy peanut dressing with incredible filet mignon cut up inside of it. Always a good choice. $24

Ahi Tuna Salad: Mixed greens salad with avocado, mango, and tomato with a generous amount of seared Ahi Tuna on the side. $24

Cheeseburger: Ah, a classic cheeseburger goes a long way. Served with your choice of side (in this case crispy shoe-string french fries), a fantastic option when you’re craving a good, ol’ cheeseburger. $19

My recommendation: get the Thai Steak and Noodle Salad. I’ve had it a minimum of 50 times.
